MGIT–EEE Student Participation and Research Presentation at ICPS-2025, IIT Hyderabad

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Hyderabad, facilitated the participation of B.Tech VII-Semester EEE students in the International Conference on Power Systems (ICPS-2025) organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad on 09 December 2025.

The students attended the conference to gain valuable academic exposure and to learn from expert presentations across diverse domains of power systems research. Their participation contributed significantly to research-oriented learning, professional development, and awareness of contemporary advancements in power systems engineering.

As part of this academic engagement, a joint research paper titled “Short-Term Load Forecasting for Energy and Cost Savings: A Case Study” was successfully accepted and presented at ICPS-2025. The paper was presented on 09 December 2025 by Mr. T. Praneeth (Reg. No. 22261A0237), along with Mr. Gajangi Arun Kumar, Assistant Professor, and Dr. P. Ram Kishore Kumar Reddy, Professor & Head, Department of EEE, MGIT, in collaboration with Dr. Yemula Pradeep Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad.

This achievement reflects the strong academic and research collaboration between MGIT and IIT Hyderabad and highlights a productive research outcome of the partnership, reinforcing MGIT–EEE’s commitment to promoting quality research, student involvement, and collaborative academic excellence.
